On April 25th Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Dept. held its annual banquet and this years' theme was an Island Luau. A luau (Hawaiian: lū'au) is a traditional Hawaiian party or feast that is usually accompanied by entertainment. Our very own President Virginia Hoskings MC'd the event and the following special awards were presented:

In addition a special tribute to Captain Stanley "Pepper" Johnson was unveiled to his family members and others in attendance by DTVFD Member Sang Kim, Chief Miles Young and President Virginia Hoskings. The shadowbox containing memorabilia of Captain Pepper's will hang in the apparatus bay at 3-Fire as an inspiration to all current and future volunteer and career staff to strive to be their best and never stop learning.
