| At approx 2230, Wagon503 (Lt Reha , D/O Lynn, FF M. Ruhala, FF T. Orlando, Rec. J Ruhala, and Rec. Cobb) were dispatched for an overturned white SUV that was involved in a high speed pursuit (speeds in excess of 100mph). The driver lost control, side swiped a second vehicle then proceeded to roll to the opposite side of the interstate. BC507F (Semones) was the first on scene and reported a two vehicle accident and he was checking the first car and found no injuries. W503 arrived on scene with Medic 553 and started the assessment on the overturned. AC503 (Hoffman) arrived on scene and established Interstate ops, at this point part of the wagon crew assisted the medics with the patient of the roll over while the rest of the wagon crew checked the area with the thermal imager for a reported 2nd patient that was possibly ejected. While the search for the second patient came up negatve and the patient of the roll over extracted and packaged, we regrouped and got ready for the LZ. Helicopter Aircare arrived and sat down on the LZ just south of the incident scene and transported the driver to a local trauma center.( All photos by AC Hoffman) |
