Weekend drill gets pelted with rain while members reinforce skills and remember we respond to emergencies rain or shine.... TRAIN as you would respond. While the DC Metro area was getting a constant washing from dark gloomy clouds DTVFD was performing hands on drills with hose lines and ladders. Lt. Josh Bauer utilizing the new Tanker/Pumper instructed students on Hand line deployment, advancement and racking; while Firefighter Craig Johnson taught High Rise rack deployment and uses to include "flying standpipe" operation with Truck 503. The drill was a success and most in attendance stayed around for a very large dinner cooked by the members; a good time was had by all.

Units: W503, E517, K503, T503, BATT. 507
