| On Saturday December 17, 2005, Our newest addition, Truck 503, was hand picked by the Jolly Old Elf himself, Santa Claus, to wisk him and his merry crew around the Montclair Community. With Sgt. Bauer driving, Lt. Gudaitis taking the seat to navigate and R/H J. Schultz riding in the back to help deliver holiday cheer(and candy!) We had met Santa and his crew, Gary Vawter(The Crazy Elf), Kati Mangrio(Photographer)and Kirsten Wilkinson(Montclair Event Coordinator) at the MPOA building across from Station 17 at 0900. With myself, Sgt. Brothers(Rudolph), Santa and the rest of his crew all tethered in for a safe and secure ride, and the Montclair Security truck playing some of Santa's favorite Christmas songs. We headed off around 0930 to greet all the children, young and old throughout the streets of Montclair. Along the way passing out candy and wishing everyone Holiday Cheer and a safe and Merry Christmas. We made our way throughtout all the streets, to return safely to our starting point at 1330 to end a fun, exciting afternoon with Santa Claus. |
