On Monday October 17th around 6 pm, W503 was dispatched with career personel to a call where a victim was hit by a car on his bicycle on Graham Park Rd. After arriving on scene it was requested by the units to fly the patient out. Chief 503(Young) arrived on scene and set up Graham Park Command and requested another engine company for the LZ. E503(DPO Lt.Redmon, OIC G.Taylor, and FF R. Glynn) was staffed by volunteers and responded to Graham Park Middle School where the LZ was set up. On arrival E503 began crowd control since there were a lot of people on the upper soccer field of the school. W503 was the contact for the helicopter and maintaned communication with them. After a safe landing E503 and W503 then returned to the station.
