Company 503 units were dispatched to a brush fire on Interstate 95 near the 148 mile marker on Saturday, September 11, 2010.

While responding Battalion 507 marked on the scene with a smell of smoke and a slight haze. Attack 503 was the first apparatus on the scene and found several hot spots from a brush fire that was extinguished earlier in the week. Engine 523 was in the area and was added to the call to support with water and personnel.

After about 45 minutes crews had overhauled the area and went back in-service.
