| At approximately 1900 hours, units were dispatched to the 18,000 block of Triangle Street, for a report of an apartment fire. Engine 503 arrived on the scene of a two-story apartment home, to find smoke showing from the top floor apartment.
The occupant advised firefighters that the fire was located in the kitchen and that everyone was out of the house. A handline was pulled and entry was made.
The fire was quickly located and extinguished in the kitchen area. Truck 531 arrived along with Engine 517 and both started ventilation and pulled a back up line.
Engine 503's Officer advised Triangle Command (Battalion 507 - Capt. Redmon) that they could handle with 2 Engines and 1 Truck. The remaining balance of units were then placed in service.
The Prince William County Fire Marshalls Office conducted an investigation and the Red Cross assisted relocating 1 adult and 1 child. |
