Saturday, September 6th, started out with the remains of Tropical Storm Hanna rolling through Prince William County. Engine 503, E517, Brush 503, Utility 503 and Battalion 507, were all very busy dealing with flooded roads, fallen trees, downed wires, and various other calls.

Sunday, September 7th, at 0158hrs E503 was alerted for a vehicle fire on Cherry Hill Rd. Additional information from dispatch indicated vehicle was fully involved. Upon arrival, E503 (OIC Brothers, D/O Hartman, FF Moser, FF Klemick, FF LeJarde, RH Hoyle) confirmed a working fire and started an aggressive attack. Firefighters made a good knock on the fire, but unable to extinguish completely until foam was applied due to the fuel keeping the fire burning. Once the fire was out, FM523 investigated and E503 was released. E503 cleared and returned to Station 3 to repack hose and fill cylinders. E503 ready at 0338hrs.

Units: E503, FM523
