Shortly after 8:00 PM, Company 503 and other PWC units were alerted for an auto accident reporting a vehicle overturned with possible entrapment. Supplemental information from dispatch advised that they were receiving reports of no one trapped and two Hispanic males were running from the scene across Interstate 95. Battalion 507 arrived first and confirmed no entrapment and placed all units with the exception of the first engine in-service. Once onscene Engine 503 preformed traffic control and controlled vehicle hazards as state and local police were looking for the two suspects. VASP were able to locate one individual and Ambulance 503 was redispatched to provide treatment. Engine 503 remained onscene to assist VASP with lighting. Company 503 units cleared shortly after 10:00 PM.

On a side note: Engine 503 was alerted for a head injury about an hour after clearing this call. It turned out to be the other suspect that ran from the vehicle. He is now in police custody.

Units: Engine 503, Truck 503, Rescue 510, Medic 503, Ambulance 503, and Battalion 507

Mutual Aid: VASP & PWCPD
