On Saturday March 21st Dumfries volunteers responded to an auto accident with injuries. Upon arriving at the scene the engine crew assessed the injuries and determined that one patient would need to be extricated from the vehicle. A specialty unit was dispatched to the scene and was assisted with the extrication of the patient. Rescue Captain Baum arrived and established a command channel and assisted with communications. Once the patient was removed from the vehicle medics from Quantico FD and EMT's from OWL VFD further assessed the patient and determined that the injuries were minor and the patient was transported by OWL VFD to the hospital. The engine remained on scene to assist police with lighting and then returned to service shortly after.
