On Saturday, the operational members of DTVFD held their training burns at Quantico MCB Live-burn Facility. These burns refresh skills learned in basic firefighter training and introduce recruits to the fundamentals of fire ground operations in or near “Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH) environments.

Special thanks go to the Quantico Fire and EMS staff for the use of their facility, OWLVFD for the use of their Air & Light Unit, D-TRS EMS personnel for medical support and the DTVFD Associates who provided Rehab operations providing refreshments and other logistical support.

Saturday’s burns were made possible by the steadfast dedication and planning of the DTVFD Staff Officers and Crew Officers for several weeks.
