Bauer Family Increases Staffing by 1

JUNE 26 - The DTVFD would like to welcome our latest addition Lucas Aaron Bauer to the family. Lucas was born on June 24th and weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds 11 ounces. He and his mother are doing well at Alexandria hospital and will return home on Sunday. Congratulations Josh and Beth.

Welcome Baby Frezza!

JUNE 17 - Congratulations to one our very own!

Liam Anthony Frezza was born into the DTVFD family on Wednesday, June 17th at 1:45 PM. Liam weighed in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and measured 19 ½ inches long. The proud parents stopped by to show off their new bundle of joy to fellow firefighters and to give Liam a new look at his new home away from home.

Triangle Street Apartment Fire

JUNE 03 - At approximately 1900 hours, units were dispatched to the 18,000 block of Triangle Street, for a report of an apartment fire. Engine 503 arrived on the scene of a two-story apartment home, to find smoke showing from the top floor apartment.

The occupant advised firefighters that the fire was located in the kitchen and that everyone was out of the house. A handline was pulled and entry was made. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Auto Accident - Fuller Heights Rd.

MAY 17 - At approximately 8:00 PM on Sunday, Engine 503 (Sgt. Luellen, FF Kim, FF Hewlett, & FF Hartman) was dispatched to an auto accident reported as "Vehicle into a tree," on Fuller Heights Road. Truck 503 (Capt. Redmon, Lt. Brothers, FF Santiago, & FF White) added onto the call as Battalion Chief 507 (Baum) and Capt. 517 (Frezza) also responded.

Rescue 503 in Service for Truck 503

MAY 06 - On Wednesday, Rescue 503 was staffed with Truck 503 temporarily out of service. The need for a specialty unit was in order for the south-east end of the county. Just prior to the beginning of Crew 4's shift Dumfries-Triangle Rescue Squad provided DTVFD the use of Rescue 503.

Rescue 503 was staffed by Lt. Reha, and firefighters Gudaitis, Hewlett, Kim, and Santiago.
