On Saturday morning, units were dispatched to a house fire off of Cardinal Heights Rd. Upon arrival, Asst. Chief 503 reported smoke showing from the upper floor. Engine 503B was first on the scene and deployed a 1 ¾” attack line through the front.

Out of a combined graduating class of 17 recruits with representatives from multiple departments throughout the county, DTVFD personnel excelled above the rest and received awards for both the Honor Graduate, and the Leadership Award.

Class Completes Auto Fire Training

On Saturday, April 19, 2014, officers from DTVFD, observed DTVFD recruits participating in live automotive fire training. Combined with trainees from other departments, these participants are currently enrolled in the Firefighter I and II certification classes at the Public Safety Academy in Nokesville, VA.
