Triple flyout for Tanker 503

- On a rare occasion the crew staffing Tanker 503 was able to help out their west end brothers with a triple fly out. The tanker was taken to a neighboring station for a rural water supply class and had an engine capable crew on board. During their lunch break the tanker crew was in a prime location to assist Engine 504 with a landing zone for 3 helicopters.

Structure Fire - Box 0329
APRIL 13
- At approximately 10:30 PM, units were dispatched to a house fire in 19000 block of Wayne Drive in Triangle, VA. DTVFD's Engine, Truck, Brush and Chief all responded with initial reports from neighbors that they could see flames coming from the home.

Bus into Embankment
APRIL 04
- Wednesday morning around 5:22am Engine 503B was alerted to an auto accident involving a commuter bus on Interstate 95 prior to the 152 exit. Upon arrival Engine 503 found one small commuter bus in the embankment with occupants still in the vehicle. Two lanes were shut down for safety.

Recruit Catches First Vehicle Fire
MARCH 25
- During afternoon training the crew on duty was alerted to a vehicle fire on Interstate 95 Northbound near the 157 mile marker. Due to the amount of calls during the day Engine 503B became first due engine to this location generally covered by Dale City VFD.

Brush Fire Near I-95
MARCH 10
- On Sunday, units were dispatched to an outside fire near Point Pleasant Lane in Dumfries. Initial reports came from a nearby housing area with callers seeing smoke and ashes in the area. Upon further investigation Engine 523 located the fire adjacent to the I-95 in a wooded area off Interstate Drive.
