JULY 27 - ROCKY MOUNT, Va. -- Two longtime Rocky Mount firefighters, including Chief Posey Dillon, were killed Monday and another person was hurt when a fire truck on its way to a house fire crashed into an SUV, flipped three times and landed on a car, state police said.

JUNE 19 - On Friday, June 18, 2010 Command 503 (CP503) traveled to Fairfax, VA for the annual Fairfax County Command Control & Communications Vehicle Rally. Memorial Day Weekend Fun Leads to Tragedy

MAY 30 - DTVFD Crews began the Memorial weekend on Friday at 6:00 PM. Within minutes of staffing, the calls came flowing in. Thirty five runs were made from Friday until Monday morning. This is not uncommon for holiday weekends especially at the beginning of the summer.
