At approx 1920 hours units were dispatched to a multi-car accident on Interstate 95 at at mile-marker 148. While responding the call was updated to a person over the bridge at Quantico Creek. Units from Quantico MCB, Stafford, PWC, DTVFD and Dale City were en-route. BATT531 and T531 marked on scene confirming one patient was over the jersey wall with a 30 foot plus drop from the road. Upon arrival E503B was assigned to the rescue group by command to asst T531 with the stokes system that would be used to raise the patient. Soon after units from Stafford arrived on scene R510 and E523 were placed in service. Together with T531, E503B, and R1 from Stafford, the stokes was lowered to the crew below and the patient was raised to the roadway. Due to the fall it was decided that the patient would need to be flown to Fairfax Hospital for evaluation. E10 from Stafford was the Landing Zone (LZ) pumper along with Chief 503 and Asst Chief 503 who helped with the LZ setup, control, and shut-down of I95 to land HAC1. When all was said and done, units from three different departments worked as one to ensure the patient received the quickest and best care possible. Great work by everyone involved.

Units: E503B,T531, BC531,M503,A523,R801,M801,E810,HAC1,BC507F,AC503, Chief503.
