It's hard to believe that I have been away for so long and yet I find my self calling weekly and checking the web page a lot. I have lots of love for everyone at the Dept. even ASST Chief Redmon (lol), but honestly I didn't expect this family environment to effect me as much as is does.
To my crew and LT lots of love, to the one who knows me best (you know who you are) tons of love. I'm looking forward to a visit in the near future.
Thanks for the feeling I have, that even though I'm not there, I still feel as though I am.

love the web site guys.it ha been years since i ran with the fire dept there.i'am glad to have the memories that i have from the time i got to spend there.the fire dept has grown so much and it has grown for the best.station 23 is a really nice station.i was there this past feb, when i was there for the family issues i had to deal with there.i want to say thank you fr all that the fire dept vol's did for me and my family when i was there in 1990.it was a true fmily being in the fire dept then. sincerely Mike Banks

Just wanted to tell all of you what an awesome job YOU ALL did this past weekend. I know what a busy weekend can be at 3 FIRE and you all stepped it a BIG notch!!!! Be very proud of yourselves and pat each other on the back, you deserve it.
Enjoyed the community service with the Department and grew up in the area.. Graduated Gar-field High School in 1970 . Joined the U.S NAVY in August of 1971. Served 20 yrs... Retired, FMF and Radiology Technician... Now Disabled Vet with a bad lower back.. If I ever get back through the area again will stop to see all the new things you guys have.. Also for some who don't know me I use to work with Henleys Electrical Company while in school during the summer and also Dumfries Pharmacy . Also while on active duty in the Navy volunteered with Davis Corner Vol Fire Department and Rescue Squad. in Norfolk ,VA and before retiring from Camp Lejeune. Volunteered with Bear Creek Vol Fire Dept for 7 yrs as Tanker/Driver Operator /Engineer. in NC. Knew Pappi Keys , Bascome Henley, Gary Henley, John Burke , Bill Yarnell , Ed Purceville, The Gouchs , Pole Cat and Ray Sly...

Wow, seeing names like Kanasky, Frezza, Brazier, and Ace Simpson in the Guestbook take me back to the 80's when I was a rookie "Paid Maid" at 3Fire working for "9 Toes" Norman Stone. Jay Tucker was with the ol' DTVFD way back when, too. You guys were the best damn volleys I every worked with!

I just wanted to say after attending this months meeting everyone did an amazing job money-wise! Keep up the good work and keep safe everyone! The food was great, people were very friendly.
