My nephew was FF. Kevin M. Prior. He was one of the six brave men from Squad 252 that gave their life that others may live.
Rest in Peace all those who were taken from us too soon :'-(

I was a member during December '95 thru May '98. That was when the Brush Truck (Humvee) was purchased. I have viewed the website several times, when walking down memory lane to see how things are going. I see Miles is still Chief, Beaver is no longer in Auxiliary (yahoo Bingo night), SGT Pepper is no longer running, Mz. Virginia is still active! To think it was about twenty years ago! If any members from my time see this message, give me a holler and we can swamp war stories. Thank you

Mac

Wow! The department has grown since I was a member from 1983-87. We had just gotten the Montclair station approved when I received an assignment to Germany. A good surprise to see Miles is still chief.
My best to you all.

Hello, I'd like to thank all of the Firemen of Station 17 for their hospitality and patience during our tour of your station yesterday.
I enjoyed trying the Captains equipment on it was pretty heavy but I think the boys enjoyed seeing me in it too!

Thanks again!

Greetings, thanks and congratulations Chief Young and all the others. You have a very nice web page and Michelle Henley tells me the Department is better than ever. My only concern is that the Chief is allowed to use a photo that is over 20 years old. I think he looked older than that when I last saw him 20 years ago.
Seriously, thanks for all your good services for a long, long time and my best wishes to all. Ed King, former member BOCSPWC, Dumfries District [before Potomac District].

This was one of the best times in my life, I learned so much from being a member and officer. People like Mason Gough, Joe Gnoffo, Publicover, Skip Gay were some of the best people to work with and what it meant to serve our community.

Aside from really missing riding with DTVFD and all the great members I wanted to take a minute and express my appreciation for all the training this department put into me. I got my acceptance letter to a great school LSSU which has one of the few IFSAC accredited training processes in the country. I owe the cultivation toward this career change largely to my experience with you all there. I miss you all greatly and humbly thank everyone for an awesome experience. Keep at it and stay safe!
